The web-based solution enables customers to gather reports on 3,800 mills and 13,000 mill projects worldwide. Users can search mills by grade, region, capacity and equipment, among over 100 other filtering options.
Consumption reports and process flow sheets are also available on the database, created through quarterly audits from registered sites.
The tool has been developed to boost sales and marketing strategies for pulp and paper suppliers and end users.
RISI, which provides information for the global forest products industry, said the database would allow users to keep informed of events in the sector, allowing them to maintain a competitive edge by tracking opportunities for equipment sales and leads for suppliers.
Mills can use the database to gain an overview of their own industrial processes such as consumption and costs as well as accessing additional information previously available from RISI’s seperate services including the Global Mill Projects Database, Pulp & Paper Company Profiles, and the Mill Investment History Database.
Corporate subscriptions run on an annual basis depending on the number of users and come with a contact database of key personnel in the sector.
RISI marketing manager Jennifer Anderson said: "We have undertaken extensive research in partnership with our clients over the past two years to develop a tool that is beneficial to them in terms of improving their processes."
