The registered charity invested in a Horizon Stitchliner with a 24-station VAC-Turbo PowerCollator, BQ270 automated single clamp perfect binder and a B2 AFC-544A four-plate combination folder.
WJEC, which prints exam booklets, specimen booklets, teaching aids, results slips and over 300,000 certificates, made the investment because its previous equipment was “past its best” and it wanted to improve its products.
WJEC’s director of ICT and Print Services Bob Rees said: “We wanted to improve the quality control of the output to make sure the question papers looked pristine. We also wanted to eliminate any possible errors in collation and to improve production speed.”
