Fujifilm Sericol targets UK signmakers with Euromedia business

Fujifilm Sericol is aiming to build its presence in the UK signmaking sector following the launch of Euromedia - its new large-format business.

The Euromedia brand pools together a raft of hardware, ink, media, software and tools, which are designed to "help companies pick the right solution".

The rollout of the single-source supplier follows on from the launch of the business in mainland Europe, which counts signmakers, in-house print departments, exhibition contractors and commercial printers among its customers.

Fujifilm UK marketing manager Graham Leeson said the launch was part of Fujifilm's wider inkjet strategy that will help "add value" to the smaller printer.

"With a single-source supplier, we're taking some of the work out of the day-to-day running of smaller signmakers and printers," he said.

Euromedia brings together large-format hardware, including the Maxjet solvent roll-fed printers, software such as Fujifilm ColorGate Production Server, Fujifilm Sericol inks and technical support.

The launch of the Euromedia brand in the UK on 1 October follows Fujifilm's acquisition of Sericol in 2005 and Colormy in October 2007.

David Burton, large-format business development director for Europe at Fujifilm Sericol, said the launch "is a really exciting development for UK-based large-format printers".

He added: "Based on the combined expertise of Fujifilm Sericol and Colormy, we have put together best-in-class solutions and support to provide a unique single-source supplier for large-format printers."
