The ColorManager Proofing Solutions focus on a combination of Epson ink-jet printers and inks, Fujifilm paper and  ColorManager software.

A spokesman said: "Optimised to work together, the products are suitable for use  at repro and print sites and client locations for remote proofing of digital work."  The kit saves time travelling to view proofs or costs on couriers, he added.

The system runs with Epson 4000, 7600, 9600 and 10600 printers, offering media of 432 to 1,118mm.

These printers are combined with Fuji's IPP-SG ink-jet proofing paper, which  is a semi-gloss resin-coated 230gsm paper in sheet or roll form suitable for most job types.

Fujifilm's ColorManager software accepts a range of input formats including Postscript and PDF as well as most contone and screened raster formats.

This allows integration with most pre-press workflow systems and the ability to create ink-jet proofs from screened 1-bit tiff files.

Firms can print using the supplied standard profiles, or make their own.
