The St Neots-based branded environment specialist was formerly known as MacroArt but rebranded as Moss earlier this year in line with its US parent group.
The firm’s ‘Moss Unveiled’ open day brought together local business and community leaders, councillors, and Liberal Democrat Sollom, who was elected as the first MP for the new consistency of St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire at the General Election last month.
The Moss management team, helmed by MD Michael Green, talked about the firm’s work on issues including sustainability, training and apprenticeships, and innovation.
Moss fabrication finishing specialist Geneve Gurr won Trainee of the Year at this year’s Printweek Awards.
Commenting on his experiences at the open day, Sollom said: “It’s been a pleasure visiting Moss and hearing how a focus on sustainability has become fundamental to the business.
“That this focus is driving investment in local young people through a really successful approach to apprenticeship and trainee opportunities, as well as reductions in the environmental impacts of the business is particularly pleasing to hear. Moss is a great example of the difference local companies are making in St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire.”
Green said the event had been a great opportunity to highlight the firm’s ESG efforts across-the-board.
“From innovation in materials and processes to investment in young people and apprenticeships, we are dedicated to offering sustainable and innovative solutions and sharing best practice locally and across our industry,” he said.
