A marketing-services agent is to target print hardware firms with a new system to manage all their marketing print needs.
Freedman International is piloting its OnlineOrdering system with Xerox, allowing its 14,000 European resellers to order marketing materials over the internet.
The firm aims to roll out the service to more firms across several sectors. It manages print needs from data sheets to point-of-sale material like posters and brochures.
"The service would be good for firms with medium ranges of machinery and lots of products," said marketing manager Jan Hayter.
"It is for companies with resellers networks and several launches a year, or with distance, distribution and language complexities like multinationals."
Resellers will be able to order documents on www.e-onlineordering.com. Freedman International manages the job including stocking, warehousing and fulfilment, freeing firms from handling the work, she said.
The service is unlikely to help makers of very expensive kit, those selling only 50 or so items a year, or manufacturers that sell direct to end users, she added.
