Administrators were appointed to the company on 1 April, however, at this stage it is unclear what factors were behind the collapse of the company.
Earlier this year, Folium was named as one of the Environment Agency's three Midlands printers.
The Solihull-based company was founded in the early 1970s. In 2002 it completed a multimillion-pound investment programme.
According to accounts at Companies House, in the 2007 financial year, the company made a pre-tax loss of £303,291 on a turnover of £5.8m, following on from a £125,339 loss on a turnover of £6.2m in the previous year.
Folium also operates a print management division, Profilenine. It is currently unclear if this is included within the administration.
Leonard Curtis and the directors of Folium were unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
