Administrator Paul Masters, of Leonard Curtis, when asked if the company had closed refused to comment, however the phone lines for the business are out of service and an ex-employee has contacted PrintWeek to say the doors were closed last week.
The sale of Folium has been surrounded by confusion since its collapse on 1 April with the administrators being forced to deny claims they had told potential buyers the business was already sold.
It is believed that London print manager Oliver Marketing was interested in making a bid for Folium – the directors of the business formed Folium Print in April, a newly incorporated company.
In addition, a company named Folium Communications was registered at Companies House on 7 May. It is unclear if this company is related to Folium Press.
