Version 3 of the Standard and Professional versions of the software, which first launched in 2002, allows users to print what is being viewed, as well as boasting over 40 new tools.
"This is the most significant release of the package since it was launched," said chief executive officer Andy Cave.
He said that the new version incorporated "a no-nonsense Room workflow at a fraction of the cost of other mainstream solutions."
"Its preview of separations is superior to other big-name systems in terms of smoothness, visual quality and ease of use," Cave added.
FirstProof Standard costs 325, while the Professional version costs 750. There are around 150 UK users including York City Printers (UK) and SP Group in Birmingham.
