The Birmingham-based firm, part of the Field Group, is producing offset litho printed transit containers that can double up as an in-store display device.
"SRP is designed to put products on shelf very easily and speed up the whole process," said Field First business development manager Paul Wyatt.
According to Wyatt the product has so far "generated a lot of interest" but he would not be drawn on naming the interested brands.
The packs can be printed on a range of substrates from solid cartonboard to litho laminated B and E flute.
"The retailers are moving forward on a whole range
of options," added Wyatt. "It's certainly a product
targeting the high-volume food market and confectionery. But we are looking to be involved in all sorts of sectors."
"Our SRP designs work for a range of retail products including sachets, trays, food cans, bottles or jars," added Field First sales and marketing director Tony Hitchin. "This has helped to offer our customers greater choice and differentiation to support high-volume brands."
Field First is the food and household division of the Field Group. Both companies are part of the Chesapeake Corporation.
Other products printed by Field First include folding cartons, labels and display units. In the food sector it works on packaging for breakfast cereals, frozen and chilled foods, dried foods, confectionery and bakery products.
Other products include household cosmetics, tissues and detergents.
The Field Group has a total of 19 manufacturing locations in the UK.
