Fespa and Xaar recognise Baio, Baxter and Telliers as digital revolutionaries

Fespa has announced the three revolutionaries, nominated via a viral campaign in the run-up to last month's Fespa Digital exhibition in Amsterdam last month.

The campaign asked the industry to nominate individuals who had produced ground-breaking work, ventured into new markets, embraced cutting-edge technologies or differentiated themselves through client services and business models.

Fespa and technology partner Xaar shortlisted three finalists, who were each awarded with a guitar.

The winners were One Solution founder Marco Baio, Screen strategic technical advisor Bill Baxter and Belgian artist Wim Telliers.

Baio was recognised for his development of the firms Vega UV flatbed printer, Baxter for his work as founder of Inca in the development of the UV-cured flatbed printer market and Telliers for Project 7-7, a huge 30,000sqm art installation on Antarctica, which was commended in the 2009 Fespa Digital Print Awards.
