The firm called in administrators on 22 April (PrintWeek, 3 May), resulting in the loss of five jobs across its operations in Nottingham and Manchester, after it ran up debts of 3.5m.
Administrator Stuart Maddison said the sale had to be accelerated after the firm experienced difficulties obtaining paper from suppliers, and had to let a further 40 staff go.
Berry, who set up Beever Paper with Peter Symonds at the end of last year, said it will retain the Nottingham site and a number of staff, while consolidating the stock and assets of Manchester into Nottingham.
Last week, we stated the firm had gone into administrative receivership, it is in fact in administration.
