Extra space at R&R after Morgana spend

B2 commercial printer Ratcliff & Roper (R&R) has freed up space on its creaser after installing a Morgana DigiFold 5000P.

The Worksop-based company will use the folding machine to finish work from a recently installed Xeikon digital web press.

According to managing director Kevin White, the investment brings several advantages. He said: "We crease on a cylinder press, but the smaller jobs take up a lot of time on it.

"The DigiFold frees up the cylinder to handle the larger work. However, it doesn't just crease, it can fold as well, so we are completing work in one pass."

The £2m-turnover company, which recently installed a Horizon touch-folding system, is now investigating upgrading its six-station Muller Martini.
