Printex Services South West was set up by Babs' former technical manager Mark Medhurst (pictured), with the help of former Babs dealer Printex Services managing director Dave Duffy.
The operation, based in East London, has taken on three ex-Babs engineers in Coventry, Croydon and North London with a total of 60 years' Ideal experience between them.
"We've got complete UK cover as we're also sub-contracting engineers across the country, all of which had some affiliation with Babs," said Medhurst.
The new operation has been appointed by Ideal's new UK agent Duplo International to support Ideal contract installations and service. The operation will also be assisting Duplo on installations on an ad-hoc basis.
"We will also be servicing non-Ideal finishing equipment [independently], primarily mid-range, not Polars and Wohlenbergs. Anything that would have fallen into the old Babs range," said managing director Medhurst.
