Evans eyes 10m sales after Affinity merger

Former Centurion director Richard Evans is hunting for acquisitions after merging Affinity Print Management and Richard Evans Services (REAS) to create Affinity Connected.

Evans, son of Centurion founder and chairman Lord Evans of Watford, said he is targeting a tenfold rise in turnover following the merger of his two companies.

We doubled turnover last year to over £1m and the plan is to grow it to £10m, he said. The merger has created a lot more opportunity, with each business feeding into the other, and we are also looking at potential acquisitions.

Evans founded marketing and fundraising consultancy REAS in 2003, shortly after Centurion was sold to Communisis for £42m. In 2005, following the expiry of his no-competition agreement with Communisis, he founded Affinity Print Management.

It took a while to get the ball rolling and we wanted to make sure that both companies were equally strong before we went for the merger, added Evans.

The services complement each other, so there are a lot of advantages. It means our clients need only deal with one organisation. We are the complete one-stop shop.

Affinity Connected has corporate and voluntary customers and Evans said the new company would
look to expand equally in both sectors.
