The software, which was supplied by Alwan's UK consulting partner Tagetcolour, was chosen in part for its ability to integrate seamlessly with the agency's existing Dalim Twist workflow.
Rowan Ferraz, pre-press production manager at Euro RSCG's in-house studio, said that "consistent colour across various different media" was crucial to the business and the brands it works for.
He added that the studio, which supplies around 300 ads per month to UK and international publications, needed to invest in an "enhanced colour management solution" that would work within its existing set up.
"The amount of actual colour processing performed by our new CMYK Optimizer software per month is hard to quantify, but its got to be up near a thousand files and doesn't negatively impact on the speed of the overall workflow," said Ferraz.
"It's actually speeded up the overall process by reducing the load on Twist by removing the processor intensive colour conversions and image enhancement functions."
Targetcolour managing director Niall Coady added: "Pre-media and pre-press companies running a Dalim Twist workflow can really benefit from the fact that, as two standalone solutions, Dalim Twist and Alwan CMYK Optimizer can be integrated so smoothly and seamlessly.
The results are significant improvements in colour management efficiencies and faster turnaround times."
