The 19 staff at CMYK, which changed its name from Blackpool Printers in December 2005, were sent home when it went into administration on Monday (17 May).
The administration process is being handled by Jeremy Woodside and Chris Ratten, of RSM Tenon, in Manchester.
"The printing sector has suffered during the current recession and CMYK is the latest victim of the tough economic conditions," Woodside said.
"The company faced significant cashflow problems and was under increasing pressure from its creditors. As a result, the business was unable to continue."
RSM Tenon said that it was exploring options to sell the plant, machinery and factory fixtures at auction.
The CMYK Group comprises a number of other businesses, including design and marketing communications, which are unaffected by the closure of the printing business.
CMYK's print operation had been in operation since 1896.
