Etrinsic lands EDF extension

Etrinsic has renewed its print management contract with EDF Energy, in a four-year deal worth 6m.

The contract will run until 2009 and covers the supply of some 250m envelopes, along with billing and associated documents for the energy company.

Newly appointed extrinsic chief executive Keith Walton said the major factors behind the renewal of the contract, worth 1.5m per year, was the firm's service and approach to environmental and ethical purchasing.

Solihull-based extrinsic was the subject of a management buyout in May this year, led by Walton who was then managing director, fellow director Matt Bird and five other senior managers.

The firm is now aiming to be one of the top five print management companies in the UK.

Its clients include Procurement for Housing, private hospital group HCA and friendly society Liverpool Victoria.
