Emap's largest magazine Heat is to move from St Ives Peterborough to Quebecor Corby. It is the second major Emap loss for Peterborough, after lad's mag Zoo moved to Southernprint last October.
In total, St Ives is said to have lost around 20 of its Emap titles. "St Ives' management had indicated that they were looking to move away from the longer-run, high frequency market," said Emap's group production director Andy Franks (pictured). "This was therefore a natural divergence."
NJP has lost all of its Emap business after it was decided that Closer would move from NJP to Polestar Sheffield at the end of May.
"NJP has done an excellent job for us," said Franks. "But the sheer size of Closer as a product left them slightly exposed when it came to looking at the rest of our portfolio with them."
Wyndeham has announced that it has been awarded 20m worth of Emap work over the next three years and will be producing a total of 28 titles.
"Wyndeham really understood what Emap wanted," Franks said. "It has a very dynamic management and fresh approach that was engaged at every level in our business."
Southernprint also performed well, gaining Sneak and Mojo from NJP and Yours from St Ives.
"Southernprint has consistently been the best performing printer in terms of deadline," said Franks.
Cooper Clegg has also done well, winning Q from NJP and retaining its production of FHM. Headley Brothers will also produce some smaller titles for Emap.
