The latest Newsmatic CTP, costing nearly 59,000, has a slip-sheet removal system for simplicity, said ECRM vice president Derek Sizer.
An earlier version launched at last year's IfraExpo aimed to help local and regional newspapers needing peak-time production of up to 80 broadsheet plates an hour.
News CTP costs less than 45,000 and offers fast change between imaging formats from a single tabloid page to a double broadsheet, Sizer said.
"This market needs CTP solutions that are flexible, robust and cost effective. The kit complements the production from single-width presses like the Goss Community for newspapers or semi-commercial work," he said.
