The company began distributing the German engineered machines in 2006, with the number of Duplo resellers looking to sell the product increasing by a third in that time. The Ideal range of guillotines includes desktop trimmers used by schools through to commercial scale machines.
Peter Jolly, UK marketing manager, said: "This fantastic milestone has been reached ahead of target and is as a result of a combination of high demand for this type of cutter and first class product build."
The guillotines range from manual machines through to heavily automated models aimed at the large run commercial market.
The latest Ideal available on the market is the 5222 Digicut, which the company launched at Drupa this year to replace the 5221-05 EP Digicut.
Duplo notches up 1,000 sales of Ideal guillotines
Finishing equipment manufacturer Duplo International has announced the sale of its 1,000th Ideal trimmer and guillotine into the UK.
