The Duplo suite consists of its DC-545 slitter/cutter/ creaser, a top-of-the-range System 5000 bookletmaker, a DB-200 perfect binder,
a 490 guillotine, a Foldmaster 200SA and a range of thermal binders and laminators.
Not only will the kit be used to train the 700 students on the college's print courses, but it will also be used by the students to produce work such as brochures, handbooks, posters, prospectuses and business cards.
The Duplo kit, which will be used in conjunction with the NPSC's 500,000 Xerox digital print suite, allows the college to extend the practical digital print units of its diplomas.
"We were able to deliver the underpinning theory, but you can't better offering hands-on experience," said Leicester College education and training liaison officer Damian Breen (pictured left).
Duplo will also use the suite as a Midlands demonstration and showroom facility.
