Confirmed in June, the season-by-season partnership will see Wolverhampton-based DIS working on the digital print, signage and graphics that will contribute to the new look at the Molineux stadium for the 2019/20 season, having fulfilled similar work previously for Liverpool FC and Manchester City FC.
Initially worth circa £100,000 for the first year, the contract is ongoing with Wolves FC commissioning work from DIS on a job-by-job basis. The graphics firm has already installed new kit graphics in the megastore and redesigned the interior for the mascot lounge.
Sales director Dave Purcell said: “We have loved working with some of the biggest football clubs in the country.
“We understand how important it is to protect the brand and how timescales are very tight, so we took our knowledge of this with us to Wolves. Being our local team means we want to share our knowledge with them to help make their brand stronger.
“We are currently working on making a touch wall, which we have done before for clients, so the wall becomes one giant interactive system using heat transfer paint and print.”
DIS Group is making use of its Vutek flatbeds and Matan Quantum roll-to-roll system from EFI for the initial jobs, as well as undertaking bespoke signage construction.
With a full in-house design studio and 3D modelling capabilities, DIS’s 21-strong team has played a direct role in the club’s redesign and will support Wolves FC across all marketing material, event launches and hospitality evenings. Other jobs on the docket include player interview walls, stadium signage and a new runway for the Molineux tunnel.
The £1.8m-turnover firm is also currently working on a large contract that will increase its focus on work in central London and delivers print to brands including Virgin Active, Rolls Royce, Bentley and Christian Dior.
