The blaze broke out just before 10am in the ground floor of one of the plant's Goss presses, before working its way up the tower to the fourth floor.
Some 30 firefighters were called in to tackle the blaze, which was extinguished at around 1.30pm. It is believed that an overheated bearing was the cause of the fire.
Saturday editions of the Derby Evening Telegraph were unaffected by the fire, but the late afternoon Sporting Green was cancelled.
Monday editions of the Telegraph were printed at sister Northcliffe sites Stoke on Trent and Leicester. Production of Nottingham's Football Post was also switched to Leicester.
No-one was hurt in the incident, which is expected to cost hundreds of thousands of pounds in fire damage.
