The keynote was delivered by Chetan Bhagat who addressed more than 250 print delegates.
According to Manoj Mehta, president of AIFMP, "Romancing Print is a broad project which will become an all-India activity by 2012 and shall be hosted in important print cities."
Some of the highlights of the one day conference were: Romancing the balance sheet by Anil Lamba. There were presentations from Pankaj Kalra of Xerox, Udo Fiebigger of Heidelberg, Zvi Krams of Kodak and Rajiv Kapoor of Abhishek Print Line.
There was a gripping presentation by Rajendra Kumar Anayath, head of Print Media Academy, Heidelberg India about repurposing print. He offered an array of printing solutions which looked beyond adding ink on paper.
The two panel discussions: "3 Idiots" and "Young Guns" were moderated by Pranav Parikh.
Jacob George, director of Press Ideas said: "The conference attracted tremendous response from printers in north India. Next year we hope it will be bigger."
Delhi starts to romance printing at conference
Romancing Print was organised by All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) in association with the print magazine, Press Ideas. The full-day event saw the best of Delhi's printers in attendance.
