Debut for new Bobst range at Drupa

Bobst has reacted to the threat from lower cost machines from the Far East with two new machines, the Speria die cutter and the Fuego folder-gluer.

The Feugo replaces the existing Media and costs between Euro200,000300,000 depending on width and level of automation, compared to a price of Euro400,000 for its predecessor. It also features faster makeready.

UK firm Norfolk Labels is the worlds first customer for the Fuego 80.

The Speria 106 replaces the SP series and although it is a budget machine the firm has focused on faster makereadies including using a quicklock system for changing the dies.

The Speria costs Euro450,000 compared to the Euro650,000 cost of the firm's top of the range series of die cutters.
