Orchestra Wotton's sister company Orchestra Bristol was bought out of administration by Communisis after Grant Thornton was appointed to both companies.
Initially Wotton was closed as no buyer could be found and 68 employees were made redundant, but DCL Print has stepped in and acquired the assets of the business, as well as arranging to take on the lease with the landlord.
DCL Print is working towards achieving the cheque accreditation previously held by Orchestra Wotton.
The site is now operating again with 16 staff reemployed and according to DCL managing director Simon Smode, the company should be able to take on more employees soon.
He said: "We will be taking on quite a few more staff as we establish the operations. To have two sites, both with an eight-colour web press will be very useful. Our objective will be to re establish supplies to existing customers as well as developing new work."
As well as security printing and web presses, the Wotton facility is also capable of handing personalisation, fulfilment, sheetfed printing and has an in-house finishing department.
DCL Print was on course for a £4.5m turnover this year and Smode believes that the Wotton site will achieve around £3m in 2011. He added: "The plan is to be achieving an £8m turnover by the end of next year."
As well as Wotton and its Crawley headquarters, the company also has a site in Southampton.
UPDATE: this story has been updated to include the fact that DCL Print is working towards the cheque accreditation previously held by Orchestra. PrintWeek had initially been informed that DCL had taken on the accreditation.
