SwingRay combines the Hermstedt box for secure data transfer by protocols including ADSL, ISDN and ftp with Dalim's Twist Normaliser software.
UK Dalim distributor Turning Point Technologies (TPT) will be the first firm outside Germany to offer the 12,000 product. SwingRay takes EPS, PostScript and PDF files and pre-flights them, spitting out an email report to the sender and the recipient with the file's pre-flight status.
"The thing with file transfer is that it's no good if the file is no good," said TPT managing director Steve Emerson. "This way everyone knows immediately if it's no good. It provides accountability and traceability for a one-off fee."
