The future is looking bright for Curtis Fine Papers following a visit to its Guardbridge mill by Menzies Campbell, MP for NorthEast Fife, and the news that investment is likely by new parent KPS Special Situations Fund.
"He is a regular visitor and we wanted to raise a couple of issues about recycling and gas prices with him," said group managing director Allan Milne.
Campbell "is a good supporter of the industry," said Milne. He gave his backing to the Adjournment Debate in the House of Commons on gas prices.
Milne added that there were a number of projects he had asked KPS to look at.
KPS was formed in 1998. Curtis is its third paper venture.
