Cunningham shakes up CGI management

A management reshuffle has taken place at CGI Group just four months after Michael Cunningham returned to the company as chief executive.

Phil Cherry has now been appointed as UK sales director at London headquartered CGI Europe.

Elsewhere, Andrew Stewart, who was responsible for special projects and worked on setting up the Manila, Japan and Australia offices, has moved on. According to the company, his role came to an end with the successful establishment of his areas.

Cunningham was part of the team that took CGI Group public in 1998 and was brought back in by chairman Peter Furlonge.

Furlonge said: “Due to the continuing growth of the CGI Group, in May 2007, I invited Michael to assist me in managing this growth.”
