The Northamptonshire-based group invested in the system for its Pre-Print business on the back of strong UK and European demand for its flexo pre-printed liner.
The Rexson ColourPoint system incorporates an ink dispensing system and operating console that the manufacturer claims needs no prior user training.
The console and dispenser have been installed in the company’s press hall and links to its pre-press ColorPoint Manager administration and reporting software, which can be installed with spectro and business system interfaces such as SAP and Oracle.
The £75,000 investment is the latest in a series of business improvements made by the company this year that CRP’s sales and marketing director Dev Brahmachari said were in order to meet and manage customer expectations.
He added: "This investment will ensure the company is able to maintain superior quality in colour management and represents the second stage of our 12-month investment programme that will see us secure our position as the number one at what we do."
In July this year CRP introduced a seven-day shift pattern following the installation of a Kongsberg XP24 digital production table.
Brahmachari added that CRP would be making further announcements in the next few months about "a number" of new releases.
