Sheffield-based Crown took delivery of the device at the end of 2019, and its UV curable inks are being used in a variety of work ranging from personal care to chemical and high-end consumer products.
It is also helping to address trade customers with improved lead times and print quality.
“We’re incredibly excited by this new addition to our label printing capabilities,” said managing director Tom Hardy. “The impressive speed and quality of the Domino press ensures that we can offer the benefits of digital print to a larger portion of our customer base.
“Plus, our increased capacity ensures that we’re able to sustain our excellent level of service for all customers even as order volumes increase. Lead times across all our print processes have reduced and the feedback we've had from customers has been superb.”
Domino’s N610i system is a flexible system suited to short and medium print runs with a production speed of 70m/min.
It joins technology at Crown’s base including digital inkjet printing from Epson, as well as flexo production and hot foiling. The company has made free sample packs available to prospective customers upon request.
