The deal between Luton-based Encore and the Belgian equipment manufacturer was finalised earlier this month.
CP Bourg had been without an official UK partner since TCS Finishing Solutions was shuttered in the summer of 2023.
Dan Attew, CP Bourg sales director for EMEA and APAC, said he was very happy about the new arrangement.
Encore Machinery managing director Paul Davidson commented: “We’re excited about everything associated with the CP Bourg organisation. It’s a great fit with our portfolio and fits in very nicely with everything else we do.”
He said the seven-strong Encore team was now in the process of product training and onboarding of the new product range.
CP Bourg makes a range of inline and offline print finishing systems including bookletmakers, perfect binders, stackers and trimmers.
Its relationships with digital press suppliers for inline finishing kit includes Canon, Fujifilm, HP, Ricoh and Xerox.
Encore offers a range of paper and board converting machinery from brands including GUK Group, Mathias Bauerle, Peroni Ruggero and Bacciotini Pitstop.
Davidson said his plans included a larger holding of spare parts in the UK, “to make things a little easier for customers”.
He may also add additional resource to the Encore Machinery team, which includes three specialist engineers and partner contractors.
At Drupa CP Bourg showed a new bookletmaking system that can create 240pp, 12mm thick stitched booklets.
