Administrator Peter Kubik of UHY Hacker Young was appointed at the company yesterday afternoon following its sale on 4 November.
He said: "The company had lost the Bauer contract, the turnover projections were not realised and it had been unable to secure additional finance it was seeking."
Kubik said that the 250 members of staff at the site have been paid and, while there would be "some casualties", he was confident of finding a buyer for the business.
