Neate, who started in her role on 1 March, is based in the firm’s Shrewsbury office and will play a pivotal role in growing online presence through social media channels.
She specialises in Search Engine Optimisation and most recently spent four years with sign and display business Mid West Displays, where she headed the design and marketing division.
Her immediate focus, she said, would be the launch of CMYUK's new Consumable Supported Asset finance package (CSAF), integrating it into the website and bringing it to market.
She added: "Longer term and day-to-day I'll be increasing traffic to our website though SEO and social media platforms – which will ultimately create leads and drive sales.
"I have a proven track record of increasing web traffic via social media and generating sales leads through email campaigns and that combined with my graphic design skills [means that] that I've already been able to hit the ground running," Neate said.
Already familiar with the company and staff before her appointment, Neate said as a marketing manager and graphic designer by trade she had always been impressed with CMYUK's company branding. "It's a fantastic starting point for me to get on with really pushing the brand further across multiple online platforms," she added.
CMYUK group director Robin East said Neate’s role encompassed all of the company’s promotional activities and would help to push them “deeper into the market”.
“We are constantly striving to gain new customer contacts from our existing and emerging business sectors. The online and social technologies we have chosen to adopt are all integrated with our in-house CRM system, ensuring immediate lead referral to the most appropriate sales or technical consultant,” he added
Neate’s appointment comes hot on the heels of the recruitment last month of Sue Hayward to the digital sales team, with both appointments part of the firm’s planned growth strategy.
The business has two sites, a demo and training centre in Shrewsbury and its headquarters in Woodley, Berkshire.
Going forward the business intends to focus growth on the packaging market for both printers and cutters and is set to continue to bolster its workforce with further appointments expected in the sales and marketing division.
