Over the past month the Shrewsbury firm has added to its décor and fashion textiles operation, and to its PR and brand communications function.
Emily Falconer has joined CMYUK’s Décor & Fashion division as textile business development manager.
Her background is in product development and fabric engineering, and she helmed the creation of the DuraVibe fabric range from PremEx Solutions, for use with HP Latex inks.
Falconer reports to Michael Crook, business development director for consumables.
She said she was excited about the new role: “Over recent years I have seen how the market for digitally printed textiles has grown, with more customers from non-traditional sectors investing in this technology.
“CMYUK is one of the very few organisations with the combined knowledge of extensive production equipment and materials expertise. I am pleased to be part of this.”
Crook said he was delighted to strengthen his team as CMYUK expanded into new markets.
Separately, comms and content creation specialist Melony Rocque (pictured below), who has been working for CMYUK as a consultant, has joined the business as its new group brand communications and PR manager.
She will be tasked with developing CMYUK’s brand strategy, with a particular emphasis on the textile and environmental markets.
Rocque reports to CMYUK sales and marketing director Robin East.
She said she was “thrilled” to become a permanent member of the CMYUK team.
“It’s an interesting time as the company looks to expand both its markets and geographical reach. I am enjoying working for a business that has a near even split of highly knowledgeable women and men, who are positive, enthusiastic and highly professional in what they do.”
CMYUK sells hardware including printers from EFI, HP, Canon and Mimaki alongside a wide range of materials for a diverse range of large format printing applications.
Last month East said the company was planning to enter a “new phase of expansion where we are looking to new markets and geographical regions”.
