However, managing director Frank Laurie has started up a new business CS Instore offering a similar service, but using what seems to be a print management model.
Ian McGregor, of Begbies Traynor, was appointed as administrator of the company on 23 December last year.
Initially, three sales staff were made redundant on the same day, when the company closed down for Christmas.
According to a spokeswoman for Begbies Traynor, the company reopened on 4 January to complete a number of contracts, however, the remaining 16 staff were made redundant on the following day.
"The administrator is seeking a sale of the business, but it has closed its doors," she said.
PrintWeek has seen an email from Laurie, informing customers that Clark Stephen had been placed in administration.
He goes on to say: "I write to announce that I have started a new company called CS Instore, which will continue to provide quality, service and expertise with immediate effect.
"I am delighted to confirm that I am joined by James Rodgers (Clark Stephen production director) and Patrick Bell, who can only really be described as an industry mogul."
The email states that CS Instore has "an excellent Midlands-based production partner with large-format print and finishing facilities".
Laurie was unavailable for comment.
