Two Blackburn print businesses fall into administration

Blackburn-based companies NW Print and Envolve2 have closed their doors after going into administration.

Julian Pitts, of Begbies Traynor, was appointed as administrator for the businesses on 18 December last month, immediately making all staff redundant.

Envolve2 was launched by NW Print last year but, according to a spokeswoman for Begbies, the business was "too specialist". She added: "Both businesses just ran out of steam."

According to its website, the NW Print, which handled direct mail and print services, was three years old when it closed.

The company handled B1 work and secure mailing. Envolve2 was a bespoke envelope manufacturer, which put together mail packs from start to finish, including the envelope. The companies also had a satellite site in Leeds.

Begbies is now in the process of selling the company's assets.
