Heidelberg's Print Media Academy will host the event, which will be made up of two days of interoperability testing and three days of finalising the specification of JDF version 1.3.
It is planned that the new version will be launched in the autumn to coincide with US print exhibition Print 05.
According to Optichrome's Henny van Esche, who chairs the CIP4 MIS working group, JDF version 1.3 will incorporate feedback from the label and packaging, and web offset special interest groups of CIP4, which have recently been particularly active.
