Non-executive chairman John Wheatley said Cheshire would replace Paul Phillips, who is currently interim finance director, having taken over from Maureen Hawkins, who left the company in 2002.
Hawkins held the position of both finance director and company secretary.
She resigned from her position at the same time as Wheatley undertook his role with the company (PrintWeek, 29 November 2002).
We have taken the time to review the position and looked at it with a fresh pair of eyes, said Wheatley.
Phillips is understood to be leaving Cradley to embark on his own business venture within the print industry.
