Chapelton has been working with Memphis, US-based International Paper since 2014, distributing a number of its products. Chapelton managing director Neil Skelton was drawn to the offset range for a number of reasons.
Skelton said: “We have been working with International Paper for a number of years. The Speed-E offset range has good stability, good printability, good service and good runnability. For the end user it is quite a leader in the market.”
The decision had been in discussion for the past 18 months. Skelton said he was drawn to the environmental qualities of the paper.
He said: “A lot of what we sell as a company is looking to the environmental benefits, whether it be packaging grades or paper grades. The environmental decision is quite important.”
The paper is manufactured at International Paper’s Kwidzyn mill in Poland and as well as being FSC accredited is also EU ecolabel certified due to the sourcing of the material used in its production originating from sustainably managed resources. Chapelton was confirmed as distributor for International Paper after the mill was given a £47m makeover in 2014.
Speed-E offset is available in reels in four grammage weights: 70, 75, 80 and 90gsm.
