Cestrian relaunches its 3D point of sale division

Cestrian has relaunched its 3D point-of-sale display division, bringing a previously outsourced service in-house.

The Stockport-based large-format digital printer set up the department for the production of free-standing displays and point-of-sale promotional units.

The department offers a unique online approval facility, as part of its Kasemake packaging design system from AG/CAD.

The division forms part of Cestrian's 4m investment to become Europe's premier graphics and point-of-sale specialist, a move announced by managing director Paul Whitehurst last month (PrintWeek, 19 August).

This included a move to a new 7,432m2 complex at Cheadle Hulme, near Stockport.

Chief design engineer Nigel Jones, who joined the company in May this year, heads the division, with some 16 years' industry experience behind him.

The introduction of the new division has reduced production turnaround times within Cestrian. "We can produce for a one-off bespoke project through to a 20,000-plus production run," said Jones.
