The Witham, Essex-based company, which was formed when Stock Associates Print Finishing and Celloglas subsidiary Five Star decided to form a joint venture, had been in the process of splitting from Celloglas when the company went into administration on Monday (5 January).
Stock told PrintWeek: "We operate completely independently and were in the process of an amicable split. We are now talking to the administrators about finalising the move."
He said he was not interested in purchasing any of the remaining Celloglas sites, following the sale of five sites to new company Newcelloco, and added that the business would probably undergo a name change at some stage.
Celloglas Stock is a £1m turnover company currently employing 25 staff.
It brought together the laminating services of Celloglas with a more comprehensive finishing range offered by Stock. All these services remain.
Celloglas Stock distances itself from former sister company
Celloglas Stock managing director Fraser Stock has moved to reassure customers that his company remains unaffected by the administration of Celloglas this week.
