The £26m business will take delivery of the Speedmaster CD102-LYYLX, essentially a 15,000sph press without the print units, at its Leicester plant next month.
The firm, which has a total of 14 sites, anticipates the machine will enable the company to provide a high -speed coating service on a broad range of stocks to complement its laminating facilities.
Celloglas group operations manager John Locke said: "With both UV and IR dryers we can offer a range of finishes, even weird and wonderful coatings."
The firm will use the offline coater to provide a raft of services including heat seals for packaging customers, greetings cards producers with pearlescents and glitters, direct mail customers with remoist glues for response products and promotional specialists with scratch-off latex.
Locke added the Speedmaster would also be used for "web customers who don't want to compromise print speeds with inline coating".
The anilox coaters means the amount of coating can be varied, while the 300-staff business anticipates handling a comprehensive range of stocks in all sizes up to full B1.
"Customers are delighted to hear about this installation and we have already started to receive some forward orders," said Locke.
