The service, called CDS e-print, is backed up with TripleArcs edit2print software, integrated into its technology when it acquired the business and assets of ControlP last year (PrintWeek, 4 October 2002).
CDS operations manager Richard Bradley said the online service would result in a big reduction in the administration burden at DELs end, in delivery times and costs.
CDS e-print allows the customer to go online through a secure system and place orders via a series of tailored templates, which can then be edited and sent through as PDFs ready for output.
CDS already offers online services to virtually every public sector body in Northern Ireland. It will host an open house for customers on 23-24 September in Belfast to demonstrate CDS e-print.
