The consumer division of the Mansfield, Nottinghamshire-based print and creative agency ran a ‘nominate to donate’ social media campaign encouraging the public to nominate organisations working with children that would benefit from the face mask donations.
Chosen recipients included Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, King’s Mill Hospital, Girlguiding Nottinghamshire, Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity and Sneinton St Stephen’s C of E School, among others.
Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust deputy director of nursing Claire Harness said: “We’re very grateful for this donation as the safety of all our patients is paramount. During the Covid-19 pandemic we are doing everything we can to make sure patients and families are safe when they come to Sheffield Children’s.
“We ask that all patients and visitors wear a face covering when coming to the Trust – this can be a scarf, religious face covering or fabric face mask. This donation will help us provide a face mask to those children who arrive without one and will help protect them, other patients, visitors and staff.”
Girlguiding Nottinghamshire Brownies and Rainbows leader Emily Hogan added: “This kind donation of children’s masks was wholeheartedly appreciated and will help us as an organisation to take the correct precautions when deciding how we will carefully reopen.”
Richard Ardis, managing director at Trusted PPE, CCM Group’s consumer facing business, said it seemed “entirely right” for the company to give a portion of its PPE away to organisations working with children that would benefit from its support.
“The aim of Trusted PPE is to support the nation through the pandemic. We wanted to reach out to our social media following and ask for nominations from the general public.
“Our aim was to relieve the worry and pressures that parents and carers are experiencing right now regarding the safety of their children.”
Separately, CCM Group has today (10 August) launched a free marketing recovery service to support businesses affected by the pandemic.
The firm said this initiative is individually tailored to suit each company’s needs and that free services on offer include website audits, social media strategy reviews, competitor analysis and identifying marketing opportunities. Content creation is not part of the service.
CCM client marketing manager Rachel Knibbs, who created the initiative, said: “We’re so thankful for the growth and success that we’re experiencing at CCM, and in turn we’re really keen to help other companies who are in slightly different situations get to where they want to be with a helping hand from our talented and passionate client marketing team.
“We’re hoping to see lots of businesses taking advantage of this free opportunity and we look forward to building our client base whilst helping others during this unsettling time.”
The service will run until the end of September 2020.
