The marketing business opted for the machine at a recent show held by Xerox distributor First Choice, which lauded the success of the open house and seminar that attracted more than 60 businesses over the two-day duration.
Caravelle has used the new machine to replace a two-and-a-half year-old Xerox DocuColor, which the four-staff company said would be cheaper to run than the older machine.
Ian Daniels, managing director of Caravelle Creative, said the company's 550 printer would handle a range of commercial print collateral such as brochures and leaflets for customers including local governments, agencies and end users.
"We do not consider ourselves a particular type of printer. We provide wide-format print, commercial print and a range of marketing and design services as well. We are a one-stop shop," he added.
Xerox launched the 550/560 machines earlier this year, which can output 50 or 60 A4 colour pages per minute and uses the EA low-melt toner.
