Compiled by Inclusive Companies, the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers index acknowledges and ranks businesses which are most consistent throughout the whole tenure of their organisations and encompass all types of diversity.
The cross-industry index harnesses both best practice and innovation, with the goal of driving inclusion for all.
Reach tweeted: “We’re delighted to announce that Reach has been ranked as the 29th most inclusive employer in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers list 2022/23.”
Reach finished 42nd in last year’s list, the same position that Canon has been ranked this year.
Debbie Brown, HR director at Canon UK & Ireland, said: “At Canon we prioritise inclusivity and diversity, striving to achieve our philosophy of Kyosei – ‘living and working together for the common good’.
“We would like to thank all our employees, including the BAME Steering Group and Inclusion Network Leads, for their dedication to our people vision to be a diverse organisation that not only reflects our customers’ diversity but ensures we’re an inclusive place to work.
“The aim of this vision is to enable everyone to bring their whole selves to work, where they are enabled to thrive and contribute to achieving our business goals.
“We’re delighted to be recognised in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers list and hope to expand our inclusive efforts even further in the years to come.”
Founder and CEO of Inclusive Companies, Paul Sesay, added: “The independent advisory panel of diversity and inclusion experts review and analyse each and every submission.
“They look at all areas of diversity, including age, culture, disability, ethnicity, gender, LGBTQ+ and religion. Those organisations who have participated submit a great wealth of evidence regarding their inclusive practices, covering a wide range of areas and topics, and it is from this that the experts determine the top 50 inclusive employers.”
West Midlands Fire Service topped the ranking, with CapGemini second and Touchstone Support third.
Canon was one of the many new organisations that entered the list for 2022 while other new names included Allianz, Transunion, Humberside Police, Rolls-Royce, Lincolnshire Police, Novuna, Police Now, Open University, CGI, Crown Commercial, and NielsenIQ.
Inclusive Companies helps businesses to create cultural transformation through a ‘hearts and mind’ approach to increase social inclusion and empowerment, with the intention of embedding diversity, equality and inclusion into everything they practice as an essential ingredient.
