Bristol printer builds on expansion with perfector investment

Kingsdown (Colour Visual Ltd) has continued its expansion plans with an investment in a new Heidelberg 10-colour XL75 Perfector.

The 35-staff Bristol-based printer has replaced a four-colour Heidelberg CD74 with the machine, which complements a five-colour coater press.

Managing director Dave Spencer said: "We are aware of how tight the market is. However, we are confident of further growth over the next 12 months."

The investment by the £4.3m-turnover colour commercial printer is part of a spend to increase capacity and build the business.

He said: "We have other plans. This is only part of an ongoing capital investment programme and HSBC has been very supportive. There is a lot more to come."
