It is the company's third press and will be installed at its Southend-on-Sea site in January.
Managing director of the £5m-turnover business Aron Priest said: "We needed to speed up production and we invested in this particular press because we already had two five-colour B2 presses from Heidelberg."
In 2007, 45-staff Solopress invested £350,000 in machinery following an increase in its site space.
It brought in secondhand machinery after taking over the property next door to its existing location.
The kit included the second five-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster 74, an MBO folder, a Muller Martini 321 saddlestitcher and a Heidelberg B2 cylinder cutter and creaser.
Solopress specialises in printing business cards, leaflets, flyers, posters, stickers and printed stationery.
